Welcome to my classes.
Artistic ability is not innate. It is a skill, learned like any other skill. You can do it!
I can teach you how.

Repurposing Old/Unfinished Paintings into an Abstract Floral
Repurpose an old painting that is going no where, or, if you have no painting experience, no problem. I teach you how to make the same blue background painting I started with. This is a great class for anyone who wants to paint a loose, folk-arty floral.

Beginner Jewelry: Mastering Wire-wrapped Loops to Make Earrings and Pendants
Learn the tools, supplies, and techniques to make earrings and pendants using beads and headpins. Learning to make wire-wrapped loops is the most fundamental jewelry-making skill.
You will also learn how to add ear hooks, clasps, and the proper way to open and close jump rings.
-
Beginner Jewelry Part 2: Connecting Wire-wrapped Loops to make a Tassel Necklace
In the first jewelry class we learned to make wire-wrapped loops on headpins. In this second class we will build on that skill to make wire-wrapped loops on both ends of pieces of wire, and then connect them together, to chains, and other objects to make a tassel necklace. You could also make rosaries, bracelets, and more by skipping the chain and just connecting beads until the bead chain is as long as you want.

Live Edge Resin Ocean Painting
Everyone loves these beautiful resin oceans, and they look even lovelier when they are created on a piece of live-edge wood. That just means the bark is left intact. I love the way it reminds me of the rocky coast of Maine. I cover everything and dispel the myths and fears about working with resin so you can create these popular works of art with ease.
-
Beginner Jewelry: Make Matching Bracelet, Necklace, and Earrings
Building on the skills learned in the first two jewelry classes, I will show you how to design a cohesive set of jewelry items that go together without being too matchy. I’ll show my process for deciding what beads to use, and talk about various ways to complete a jewelry collection.

CLOSED: Christmas Spider Beaded Ornament or Suncatcher
UPDATE: Skillshare now closes classes that have not been reviewed in the last month. Your reviews matter.
Have you ever heard of a Christmas Spider? In this class, I explain the Legend of The Christmas Spider, and then teach you the skills to make these beloved ornaments yourself. Great for craft fairs at Christmas, or for window sun catchers year-round.

Procreate for Beginners: Working with Files, Labels, and Stacks
You’ve seen those Procreate classes but the instructor doesn’t teach you how to actually use the app and you have a hard time keeping up. No problem, this is the class for you. We will learn about Procreate’s structure in terms of the art files and how to organize them together into stacks in your gallery. This is the first in a series of “how-to” classes that will allow you to master the technical aspects of USING the Procreate app on your iPad, so that you can keep up in classes designed to teach you the artistic aspects.

Skillshare Teachers Need Your Reviews and Comments
Skillshare used to pay teachers by hours watched. There is a new requirement for “engagement.” That means that every month that one of my classes doesn’t have a review or a comment, it is at risk of being closed by Skillshare. Please consider commenting and reviewing. It is greatly appreciated.
